Taken to dinner out; deeply colored; delicious dark and solidly secondary fruit qualities with attractive underbrush and maturing burgundy character; soft and fat mouthfeel while still retaining nice subtle acidity which carries through a long finish. In a great place but it will still age further for 15+. 93+
Stupendous Burgundy nose of sous bois inflected flavors of leather, sandalwood, soy sauce and a definitive bacon fat note with worchestershire sauce mixed a with a sweet richness. This is big, rich and savory but the tannins are almost entirely coated with midpalate fat in the form of umami/French onion soup type consistency or boeuf bourguignon sauce. Tons of layers and Mazis generosity and you cannot help but admire the integrated structure at this point in the wine's evolution! So drinkable and expressive. Classic aged Burgundy in my opinion. Yum. 94.

Much better than the 1st bottle. Aged aromas of leather, earth, meat jus. Palate is bit savory with a hint of black pepper. The acidity and fruit are in harmony. Drinking very well.

Medium to light bodied, mature wine now. Good balance and acidity. But no magic in this bottle.
