  • 4th Saturday Group brown bagger (Our house): Double blind. Initial note of cherry candy followed by a subtle chemically note that blows off. Slightly astringent through the finish, cherry fruit and good underlying acidity. Really strengthens as it sits- develops a deep sweet cherry note- like a Luden's cough drop- and the fruit fills in on the finish. Lovely and pure- really bright. Thought the fruit is sweet, it works well here and isn't cloying and I really like this. Guessed CA Pinot Noir. 92+ pts.

  • Pop n poured. Followed over a few hours

Muted nose. Vibrant purple color with 2mm meniscus. Nice acidity. Crisp, shallow flavors. Not much depth. Finish is short. A decent food wine. Nothing too cerebral here. But a gamay isn't supposed to be. At 14+%, its not going to permit it either.

  • A pleasant surprise. Ample, well balanced fruit. Nice underpinning of acidity providing energy and verve. Quite enjoyable as a food wine. The elements all seem to be in the right place. Solid.

  • Drank immediately upon opening. A little tight at first; menthol, fir, fresh cherries, and forest floor waifing from the glass, pouring bright on the palate with cranberries and pomegranate. Finished with wet sand and mushrooms. Over the course of a couple of hours, the wine opened up with meatier tones on the nose, followed with a gamier taste and brine quality developing on the back palate. Fantastic finish and great accompaniment to the holiday meal.

  • One of the epitomes of thanksgiving turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing pairings. If you live in Oregon, have access to the Internet, or eat on Thanksgiving day, go get some of this wine. We served at room temp, Might have even been better with a slight chill on it.
