Light ruby. Delicate raspberry fruit but plenty of it and some spicy oak on the finish adding complexity. Delicious stuff and well worth the £20 spent en-primeur. Ready to go right now this minute.

Youthful nose with a medium intensity. Aromas of strawberry, cherry, cranberry, nutmeg, bitter orange, violets and spice box. Decent, rather fruit driven nose.
Dry, medium(+) acidity, medium body and smooth tannins. Medium intensity and a medium finish. Smooth and silky mouthfeel.
My experience with reds from Chalonnaise is a bit limited but I think this lacks intensity and structure for being a 1er Cru. I'd also like some more rusticity and savory aromas in my Burgs. However, this is an fruity, easy drinking bottle of Pinot but for the given price tag (€30) you could get more bang for the buck.

den 24 oktober 2015 - Inviting nose with lots of red bright berries. Cranberries, strawberries, raspberries and lingonberries. There is a bit of spiciness to it, but not a lot. Even though it has spent a year on oak (no new oak) there is very little in the way of that to be found in the wine. Pure and straightforward but lacks complexity.
Very light and slender on the palate with a medium+ acidity, dry but with lots of fruit and round, soft tannins. Medium intensity and a medium finish.
Even though I like this, I think the price is a bit steep for the quality (~€30). Easy drinking, summer juice!

Tasting at Domaine Faiveley; 6/27/2014-6/28/2014: Light red colour. Red berries and red plums on bouquet, with spice and some herbs. A step up in palate weight from the Bourgogne. Good energy and tension. Grippy with raspberry and red plum flavours. Drinking well now.

La Paulée de New York Grand Tasting (Metropolitan Pavilion - New York NY): Tasting, brief note. Forward red fruit on nose and palate. Fresh and softly textured for near-term pleasure.
