Clear pale, which I don't recall from the last bottle. The nose shows nice red fruit, strawberry and white pepper, with floral notes. Mouthfeel is nice, with more spice notes and fuller body, but rather low acidity, and the earth is not apparent in this bottle. Raspberry and strawberry, vanilla and toast. A very nice WV Pinot but a bit less than expected from Shea.

Sweet tart red fruit, black tea, mild earth. Started off as overly-fruity but mellowed after a few hours of air time. Needs more bottle time or a minimum 2-hr. decant.

Wow! I was not expecting this in the bottle. This wine is every bit as good as a young 1er Cru Gevrey Chambertin from a strong year. Maybe even better... I am going to buy some more just to throw it into a blind tasting with some of my Burg Hound friends to see how quickly they take the bait. While still young and a bit tannic, this wine is delightful to drink now with 30 minutes in the glass. Medium to light bodied, but with great aromatics of black truffle, forest floor, cinnamon spice with a finish of strawberry jam, raspberries, and tangy cranberry. A great ringer for a blind Burgundy tasting. Just decant it for 60 minutes first.

Tight, fruit after being opened 75 minutes, dark fruit. Went well with grilled (charcoal) ribeye and lobster.

It smells like black currant (cassis). It tastes like cinnamon. The body is medium.
