Probably not the best vintage, but this drinks great now. Lots of dark fruit, a bit of wood and some leather. Silky & well integrated tannins.

In prime dinking window, fruit still there, acidity clean but a little off after a while in the glass and silky tannins.

Special 2002 Beychevelle - an experiment batch of 600 bottles where the majority of the grapes is Cab and only 30% of the grapes went into their Grand Vin. Enjoyed this outstanding wine at the Chateau in a dinner together with Philippe Blanc. The wine showed incredible complexity, dark fruit, cassis, smoke, wood, tobacco. The acidity was in just the right place as well. Bottle mint condition. Incredible experience.
