  • Big nose right out of the gate, this has piles of character, with ripe, almost roasted fruit but without any dullness or sur maturite, leather, nutmeg, soil, it's round and broad on the palate with great presence and seemingly excellent depth. It may lack some acid tension from the heat of the vintage, but I don't think there's any sun-burnt-edness here and I hope to snag a few bottles to see what happens after a long sleep.
