This bottle has been in my cellar for many years. Is this the last one around? It is still vibrant and strong, no age deterioration. Minimal sediment. Dark red, full bodied, excellent dark berry fruit flavors, medium tannins that soften an hour after opening. Easily compares to the best Bordeaux wines.
Decanted for sedimentation purposes just before consuming, but not much sediment in the bottle. Deep plums and raisins on the nose. Smooth and balanced ... well rounded with tones of licorice, anise, and deep red fruit. Super delicious to be sure. Lengthy finish. Fantastic wine.

A classic nose of California Cabernet: vivid cassis fruit and a hint of capsicum to add complexity. The wine had great structure, with modest tannins remaining and fine acidity. A real pleasure to drink.

This was drinking really well tonight and some of the stark green bean (whilst still prevalant) wasn't as biting as the other NPU bottles I have had recently. It showed better than the '07 Sbragia Wall Vineyard cab which I thought it would had been the reverse as I have typically rated the latter higher.

Similar notes to JEGINMT. This drank just like Pichon-Baron from the early 2000s. Beautiful balance and drinking younger then its age suggests.
