Excellent chardonnay. Great notes of honey and wet stone on the nose delicious notes of honeysuckle, minerals and citrus on the palate. Great balance of acidity wonderful long finish.

Initially broad and balanced, it clenched up within 30 minutes and took on a licorice aroma reminiscent of a Smith-Madrone Chardonnay from Spring Mountain. Opened back up, and ended with a wonderful finish.

Hartford Tasting with Don Hartford (Bin 75): A little shy on the nose initially, gave the overall impression of a well crafted Burgundian styled Chardonnay with nice acidity and oak treatment, but I would suggest giving this youngster a couple years in the cellar. Revisiting the wine after being opened for several hours the wine had filled out and showed more lemon which I really enjoyed.

Delicious. Nice balance of oak and minerality. Tastes like a marriage of French & California styles

The story here is floral fruit, not oak. Delicious.
