Cherry fruit, a little plum and blackberry and some earth. The wine is a light red color and appears aged. Best with our roast, herbal chicken and grilled Scottish salmon. Good qpr at our $16 close-out price and its origina retail of $25, but a little silly to be at the new $50 retail for the 2013 vintage. (Yes, everyone wants to sell $50 bottles. But not those many people BUY $50 retail bottles - which would be $100-$150 in a restaurant!). Summerland has always been a great, value label and I hope that continues.
The label on the bottle says this is from Block D and 900 cases made. (The website said 1,300).
Drink now but has a little more time.

Dense, dark red cherries, showing some age and looking slightly amber at the edges. A little alcohol on the nose. The thick glass and heavy foil is appreciated at this price point.

Light color and body. Nice berry aroma, maybe some raspberry. Taste brings mild tartness and good balanced tannins. Nothing overpowering. Went well with salmon.

Lighter-bodied, bright, drinkable...would be good in warmer months.

Drink well and is fairly enjoyable, but nothing special.
