Garnet-tinged magenta. Strawberry pie, cedar, and cola nose. Light to medium bodied, dirty raspberries, red licorice, soft tannins, and a short, tart finish. Decent for the price.

A little spice on the nose, reminecent of an old vine zin, well balanced fruit with a very pleasant finish. Drink this again and again for $9 a bottle. Have had some hit and miss with the TJ label, but hits like this that keep you coming back.

I thought this was an acceptable barbera for the price. A little sharp and metallic, but drinkable in a "table wine" kind of way. I think I can do better for an extra $1 or 2, but for <$10, this is a pretty good food wine for a big group.

Haven't had enough Barberas to know if this one's varietal-appropriate. I do know that it's a very pleasant, very drinkable wine with some spicy notes and good fruit. and I will probably keep buying it while it's under $10 at my local TJs.

Not very Italian, but a fun wine at the price. It was a little too grapey and bright, and could have used some more minerality.
