Medium to dark yellow. Ripe orchard fruit with some florality and a hint of petrol on the nose. Palate is lovely - medium to big bodied mouth feel with white flower notes, honeyed lemon and some petrol notes. Good acidity - this is big and vibrant with a long, balanced final. One senses some residual sugar but whatever sugar is there is not perceived as sweetness.
This was my first of a small batch of these and I did not know what to expect. Lovely wine that went beautifully en apperitif.

Best of New Zealand wine lunch (Donato Enoteca, Redwood City): Moderately concentrated straw with reflections of green. Strong petrol/TDN and not much else (possibly because it’s the oldest - TDN develops with age). Slight lime. Clean and correct nose. - feels 5-7g RS - feels 12.5% (actually 12%) - high- acid (slightly low for Riesling) - moderate plus length - petrol and slight lime with acid and sweetness on the finish. Clean and correct

Mid lemon colour. Kaffir lime and grapefruit nose. Good balanced wine with a touch of residual sugar and adequate acid. Easy drinking with a good finish. I like this style. Perhaps not quite at the level of a Mosel, but a solid and enjoyable example nonetheless.

Consistent with previous notes. Kerosene note a bit more prominent tonight.
