Tasted blind. Warm cedar, oaky nose. Dark palate with a strong winter wood presence. It has a significant helping of oak for sure, but the fruit underneath is tasty. Perhaps not yet at peak, but a likeable wine. Young Rioja?

The oak is overwhelming. Some red fruit and herbal notes trying to express but can't get past the oak.

Lots of oak. Nose of franc. Ripe for '09.
