  • Drank a 3.0 for TJ's Chemo coming out party, very nice Party wine!!! Held up well past its drinking date, probably much to do with the 3.0

  • This bottle provides evidence that cellaring some wines can yield wonderful results. I was taken by surprise by the wonderful aromas and the depth of flavors. Beautifully integrated oak and tannin, ripe dark red berries, even some leather and a touch of tobacco. This wine is at its peak, in my opinion and at an original cost of well less than $20, the best quality/price ratio wine I can recall having in recent years.
Had this wine with grilled beef filet, roasted baby potatoes w/garlic onion and rosemary, and broccoli. Decanted (some sediment) for an hour.

  • Solid value for about $11. This may not have the expressive fruit of 100% Napa grapes, but this is a great QPR for the money and the reason why Cali cab is the easy choice when faced with the choice of drinking this or cheap European plonk. Decent nose and mouthful of dark red fruit with a touch of spice on the front end. Not perfect but way better than many Euro offerings for more money.

  • Modest blackberry nose. Blackberries and cranberries on the attack, with modest tannins coming in quickly afterwards. Nice plum finish, but unfortunately a fairly quick fade. 13.8%

  • Little changed from prior...soft, good typicity, with subtle barnyard funk on this one from the nose through to finish. Enough to add some complexity but to not turn us off. A smidge of well-resolved tannins, but this is one to drink up. Good QPR, though I find that in this ballpark I prefer Louis Martini's Sonoma County cabernet sauvignon just a little bit more.
