Intense, rich purple appearance. Sour plums on the palette - opens up after several hours, although the tannins never quite integrate and seem to stand proud. It's a real blunderbuss of a wine - recommend decanting for 6+ hours.
Bringing ripe plums, black currants, vegetal scents and oak, intense on nose, a bit sour on mouth, but still quite solid, with a rispid backbone, delivering a bitter, licorice, fairly persistente finish. 89
Look this is OK, but can't see how it gets a 94 with RP. Firstly I don't think its really ready to drink yet, probably better in 2/3 years, lot of vanilla, good but not 94.....? Will try again 2/3 years!
