Decanted, with lots of fine sediment. At first it seemed dead—little fruit and dried, slightly off flavours. I nearly poured it down the drain, but tried it again after 1/2 an hour and it had transformed. Now it has much more body, with good dark fruits (including prunes) and a fairly full mouth feel. I hope it will continue to evolve. Not quite as good as last year’s encomium indicated, but certainly worth drinking. I have one remaining bottle out of six and will probably not wait too long to try it.

Decanted 1 hour with moderate sediment, complex with mature secondary flavors of bloody rue, earthy, dark cherry, cassis, plum, plenty of spicy notes.. This bottle continued to evolved positively in the decanter for over the 3 hours it took to consume. Old world classic CDP!

Excellent bottle, full of rich black fruit, with a depth of flavour that made it the wine of the evening. Lasting much better than the 2005 Grand Veneur (not Les Origines), which has lost much of its fruit.

Second bottle of a case of six. Medium to dark garnet colour, fine sediment. Stewed as well as dried and pruny red and dark fruit, lavender, garrigue, pastille, spices, black pepper and liquorice, all built around a mineral core, with fine, firm tannin and very good length of the pastille-like finish. The medium- to full-bodied wine was smoothly textured and well-balanced, with good concentration. Very smooth and harmonious on day two. I recommend decanting for one hour.

*3rd night cherry, umami nori, seashore. Great wine, will age longer and recommend. Ten years will be phenomenal, I feel.
