When I first smelled it, I was expecting something much more heavy than I associate with Muscadet, honey, marzipan, and pear, but the palate featured plenty of mouthwatering acidity and was energetic. Lees influence added a creamy note, but didn't make the wine feel heavy.

Served from magnum at at gigantic wine dinner presented to my wife and myself last Friday by Manuel/ Harley. Very mineral, you can feel gravel on the palate. Surprisingly young and well kept for a wine that is normally polished off within the first four, five years of its existance.. This wine demands your attention; it has many facets and with each sip it presents new nuances. Really good! and another "first" for me...

Bandreas & Company Stopped in Madrid; 9/23/2022-9/24/2022 (Coalla - Madrid): From magnum. On the nose protrude notes of ripe pears and apples. Also some vegetable blow like rotting leaves of a weeping willow cradled by the stream of a quiet river. Mineral to the last consequences. On the palate it is offered as a balanced wine, without stridences or edges. Rather long and tasty, acidity contained. Even slightly sweet residual at the end. Still has a few years ahead in this format. Last fifth for absent friends.

Outstanding- dried flowers, cut apple, chamomile, and great acidic tension. Should continue to drink well and possibly improve- this is towards the top end of what aged muscadet is capable of!
