Tasted after a 30 minute decant. Medium ruby in colour with a garnet hue & subtle aromas of liquorice/chocolate & a hint of oak. On the palate, medium bodied cherry, very soft mouthfeel, liquorice/leather, chocolate, well integrated oak, medium to high acidity, medium soft tannins with a long finish to sour cherry & leather. The flavour is quite subdued & seems tired. This bottle should probably have been consumed 3 years ago, I hope my final bottle has more zip than this one.

Just OK - expected more from this. Had wine along side two bottles of 1997 from Banfi at a dinner party. Overall a disappointing lineup.
