  • Got to taste this one along side it's cousins Pinot Noir and Red Blend, of which this was my least favorite of the three. There is nothing really wrong, it is clean and well made, just a little short on the flavor and concentration side. It has that value priced Cabernet, soft, red fruit approach and mouth feel. This is a 2010 and has already been sitting around the shop for a while and may have already lost some of it's upon release crisp freshness. The color is more reddish than purple. The nose has a little bit of green pepper with a touch of savory red meat along with the fruit. Just barely medium bodied. Still has some grainy acidity. Ok but not great.

  • The first drink was like a kick in the face - very bold, sharp. The second drink carried more subtle notes, including oak and barely-there cherry. There was a presence of tannins, though not overwhelming. In all, it's an enjoyable drink.
