Benvenuto Brunello - Toronto 2014 (Toronto, ON): Wow! This is Capanna's redeeming wine for me! Best Moscadello of the day. In the more fresh, less oxidative style. Nose and palate features cold orange pekoe tea, orange peel, nectarine, apricot, saffron and pineapple in syrup. Fantastically long finish. Excellent.

Wow, wow, wow and more wow. I didn't know they made dessert wines like this in Montalcino. A bit disappointed upon opening, it was rich and flat. But after an hour or so, this is singing in the glass. So pure, mineral and intense, with lots of nail polish, grape, peach, orange peal and spice. Medium to full bodied, with a considerable amount of sweetness, balanced by building acidity. Reminiscent of a Sauternes. Will benefit from more time, ten years? Excellent.
Day2: If this had just a bit more acid...

This bottle was a big improvement, still the rich pineapple taste and golden hue, but a taut, non-syrupy style with a warm finish, nectar!

Deep gold, pineapple syrup with a warm glowing finish, not as vibrant as expected, past it's prime
