Drinking very well now. The wine opened with shellfish notes, when it was more bracing with a preserved lemon finish, then softened prettily, becoming rounder in texture, smelling of bitter almond and iodine toward the end. Less cerebral than a recent bottle of the 2010 Montée de Tonnerre and really enjoyable.

Drunk alongside a bottle of the 2011 Fourchaume, the Vaillons was certainly the more open of the two the first night. There was a crabby smell and taste to it that I really liked. It didn't last that well the next day, though.

light straw yellow color , delicate on the nose , mineral , sea rocks. Is young but after a couple of hours get better , from a light wine at the beginning it gets more complex and deep. Nice sapidity and quite a long finish. Next time I will try to use the decanter

Clean Chablis aromas of chalk minerals and citrus. Clean, fresh and a bit soft. Less oak than in recent vintages.
