  • From a 3L double-magnum. Brought to Shawn Rosselet's UF graduation (Magna Cum Laude in Engineering!) party to share with family & guests. Shy on the nose, but surprisingly good and still youthful on the palate. Medium bodied, offering plenty of mouthwatering, tart, tangy, plum, cherry and pomegranate fruit. Shows excellent depth and intensity on the mid-palate. A lively acidity gives this a nice lift. Finishes with good length and lingering notes of mineral, earth and a faint hint of black licorice on the very back end. Not particularly complex, but quite enjoyable and definitely food-friendly. This is always a good value.

Consistent with previous note (4-10-16), but even more appealing at its peak. A perennial super affordable "Super" Tuscon!

  • Stands up well to spicy foods. Fairly aromatic. Dark fruit flavors. Not a long finish.

  • Light (color, aroma, flavors and finish); more red tart berries than cherries; very good summer red with light fare.
