  Medium ruby with hints of mahogany - gorgeous, beguiling nose right from the get go, loads of red currant and raspberry mingled with stemmy and sandalwood notes. Palate a perfect blend of fruit, oak and secondaries, the oak perhaps a tad too pronounced, which hopefully will absorb as it continues to age. Very nice.

  A Burgundy Night: Blind. Smoke, berries leaning towards blackthorn, serious and deep nose; youthful and structured wine that opens a bit with air, most promising. Rating for now.
