  • Klar mot mørk rød. Lett orange rand.
Modne jordbær. Moreller. Pels. Marsipan og mandler. Kirsebær.
Fin tørrhet. Balansert, slank men allikevel en stor nyansett vin. Syrefrisk og dominert av røde bær.
    Fin stram avslutning.

  • Black and red currant, black and red cherry, rhubarb, and some earthy spice. Linear and reserved, with a muted flavor expansion. Finishes simple. Not a ton of stuffing, with even less intensity, but still offers some mild satisfaction.

I personally don’t see a lot of promise here going forward. It’s fine and all, but not all that exciting or interesting. 88-89 points. It’ll age for a few years without additional fault and may develop some limited tertiary flavors, but I don’t see this transforming into anything worth seeking out again.

Decanted for a couple of hours, which ever so slightly showed some more flavor release initially, but it mainly remained unchanged for the most part. The back end fell off over extended air time.

  • 2012 Dom. Nicolas Rossignol, Pommard 1er Les Epenots
Parfymert nese, men ikke like forførende. Rødbær, spices, mineraler; litt stålaktig og hard. Mere spicy og kompleks nese, men ikke like ren og lineær. Mere fat enn forrige. Veldig lang og kompleks. Trenger også enda mere tid. 90-94?

  • Very floral and sexy on the nose, texture is also really appealing, no angularity, sweet strawberry and cherry, smoky mineral note late with latent structure, very nice, should age well.
