For $9.99, this must be among the very best methode traditionelle sparkling wines available anywhere. It’s smooth from attack to finish, it’s bone dry with extremely good mouth feel, and it definitely has a satisfying minerally-dry red fruit thing going on. And again, the finish isn’t bitter, weird or off-tasting like many cheapo sparklers. All in all, a danged awesome bargain. Accompanied by some gooseberries, even Joshua Greene might like it.

Medium orange-copper in color, not what I was expecting. Grapefruit and orange nose with a bit of hair salon. Drier than expected given the price and store, high acidity, and drinks more like a prosecco. Palate of grapefruit, oranges, limes, underripe cherries, and a bit of chalk. Very structured medium length finish - orange peel, limestone, chalk, and a bit of spice.
Decent for the price point and an easy, fruity, mindless sipper.

Nine years later, this was again our choice to ring in the New Year. It's a different wine than the last version - Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier this time around (with no percentages given). Still an enjoyable, affordable tool for celebration.

A bit orange and high acidity. Tastes like apple and a nice fizz. This would be good with seafood or even hot pot

Green apple, citrus and lemon. Very creamy and some stone and yeast notes.
