A more serious wine than I perhaps expected, this has both a nice earthy base and pretty, albeit perhaps a bit synthetic, fruit on top. Super balance and decent length. Faiveley really delivers these days
New Burgundy Releases-Mostly 2012s (Beltramo's, Menlo Park): Light ruby. Forward nose of briary licorice notes. Light to medium weight. Lovely dried strawberry, nice but gentle acidity, some tannins, soil filled finish, and moderate length. Nice purity and complexity at this level. Drink over next 5 years.
