  • Pimm's, black cherry, iron, menthol, violet, smoke. Weighty mouth feel with plenty of primary fruit, tobacco, and eucalyptus. Menthol cigarette on the finish.

  • Initially quite a wild, sauvage Gevrey character, intense and primary on the nose, but giving a muted impression on the palate. At the 2 hour mark the nose is now mute, but the palate gives a delicate strawberry character. Then at 4 hours suddenly more robust and masculine, dark cherry fruit, Provençal herbs, meaty elements.

  • In many ways the essence of Burgundy, certainly the essence of Gevrey.
    Medium cerise.
Initially bright red fruited nose with pungent limestone mineralite and complex florals develops with time to unveil complex spice and dank, dark earthy humus sois bois.
Energetic bright primary red fruits and limestone mineralite on the palate develop with time into a more secondary beef stock, hoisin, meaty palate, but with violets, perfect harmony between feminine and masculine elements, with fine supporting tannin and lively acidity.
Perfectly lovely now but absolutely no rush.

  • Drank over 5 hours, continued to open up and improve, lovely delicacy, bright red fruits, complex spice, floral perfumes, mineralite, quite citrusy, unobtrusive structure, though somewhat closed and never quite fully open this has great depth and will be really lovely in a few years time.

  • Medium ruby. Scintillating nose of cherry sap, iodine, violets, and stone. Lively palate brimming with primary black cherry and raspberry fruit cut with iron particles and hints of beef blood. Bracing acidity and firm tannin submerged beneath quenching layers of red fruit. Lashes of mulberry and cherry goodness amidst earth and iron on the long finish. Very enjoyable in its youth, with good bones for further evolution.
