Hour and a half decant. This is my third bottle of this vintage over the last six years and the progression of development has been a great lesson in what aging does to a bottle of wine. Three years ago this was somewhat overblown and very concentrated, three years later aging has mellowed this in a positive way, stepping down the tannins and adding an element of complexity that has taken years to appear.

purple with dark crimson showing on the edges. nose with dark fruits, horehound, nail polish, candy, and black soil. full bodied with mild acidity. savory blackberry flavors and a bit of green. fine tannin with a moderate length finish. good but lacks complexity.

Drinking great right now. Medium to full body. Rich red berry with soft soft spice on the palate. Well balanced acidity. Long finish. Wish I had more. Improved over the course of the night.

Opaque, dark purple to the rim. Nose of dark chocolate, espresso, smoke, blackberry and even a hint of olive tapenade. Palate is rich, deep and full with the flavors coming through on a well balanced medium plus finish.
Surprising amount of sediment at the end of the bottle
Best of the four bottles we've had and wishing I had more to see where this goes as it still seemed rather young.
