  • This is still a bit wound up, with the structure Front and centre. The nose is developing into something quite interesting, but more time may be necessary for everything to balance out. 2012s tend to be backward and a couple more years of cellaring may benefit here.

  • This pours light ruby with minimal bricking. The nose opens nicely to show good complexity and light signs of maturity. The nose is of red cherry, twiggy underbrush, a touch of petrichor, some integrated nutty oak, a touch of dried ginger, fresh cremini mushroom, and ripe raspberry. Quite appealing and beautiful on the nose. The palate enters on the red fruit but is really dominated by the structure with bitter medium tannin and medium acid. The nose is quite good on this but the palate does hold it back a bit. This very old school and I think it could really use a little more age to round out a bit more.

  • Opened up after an hour or so. Colour shows some bricking. Fruit has subsided somewhat at this point. Structure is there, with some tannin on the finish. Enjoyable now but may get more balanced with additional cellaring. Drink or hold.

    Presque ordinaire.

  • Charming red fruits, hints of oak. On the palate juicy, medium bodied, good acidity and a nice mix of red berries and cherries.
