Color: Very pretty ruby with garnet rim. Nice sheen and sparkle.
Nose: Wow! This is pretty interesting and complex for a CDR! Initial impression of plums and blackberries, there's subtle tar, violets and cinnamon spice underneath.
Palate: Very rounded, mouth filling and smooth on the palate. Sweet berry flavors dominate but the wine is completely dry. No alcohol heat either. Lots of life left but probably at or just past its peak.
Overall: This way exceeded expectations. I don't think they make CDRs like this anymore. Most I taste are fruit/alcohol bombs. Sad.

aromatics still showed reasonable CdR characteristics. Mid-palate was classic CdR with earthy characters and tar, later elements of some burned coffee bitterness. The finish had no fruit left, and is not good at all. I don't know why I had this for so long.

At 8 years old, this has taken on some bricking colors, some leather/mushroom nose, lost most fruit, but with smooth mouthfeel has become more elegant. Lovers of fruit will not like it, but I do.

Clear med ruby, aromas of dark peppery fruit, asphalt, tar, strawberry, underbrush, b2+, a2+, t2+, ripe red berry, just the right amount of funk, herbs, fine, drying tannins, surprisingly nice, fruits just a touch faded
