  • Color: deep ruby
Nose: plum, raisin, smoke, black cherry
Taste: black cherry, smoke, cigar box
This wine has a nice balance of fruit , balsamic,
cigar box and smoke with a lingering finish dashed with vanilla.

  • This is really lovely now. A tight restrained nose with notes of blackberries/black cherries -- there is a brooding element of dark wood. All of these flavors carry over to the palate, which has some nice bright acidity that lifts the fruit up and makes it a bit brighter. A lot of power and restraint here -- and a long lovely finish. I think I am discovering that 2011 is one of my favorite WA syrah vintages!

  • Followed for two nights open and it was best at the end. Profound bouquet that carries a high-octane note that also drives through to the palate. Otherwise, it has nice black cherry and currants, baking spice, earth and tannic grip, yet still a very smooth, medium-weight body. No hurry to drink, but if you have multiples it’s worth a go now with a definite decanting for aeration. 5+12+16+8= 91

  • This will last a while, and cellaring it is for the best but its a darned good drink today. Aromas jump out at you - cherries, blackberry, cedar, menthol....then the taste is bolder with all the aforementioned plus a little chocolate and dried tobacco leaf. Grips nicely and smoothly with a 30 plus second finish. I probably shouldnt have opened it, but I dont regret doing it. Liked this syrah.

  • Still quite young but very approachable. On the lighter side but another quality release from Rasa. Let it breathe for a few hours to really enjoy it.
