  • PnP, no decant needed. Ruby red in color, no browning. Opens with a beautiful nose with cranberry, cherry, strawberry, raspberry, spices, minerals, spice and earth. Lots of flavor with cranberry, strawberry, cherry, spice, earth, minerals and light cedar. Medium body with good acidity, and great balance. Smooth lingering finish. Drinking very well, No hurry to open but also no reason not to.

  • Opened, poured into a decanter and enjoyed. First with food (pasta with hoe made pesto, in case you were wondering) and then onits own. Saved half under VacuVin.
    Grassl Cru stem.
    Garnet ruby color.
Nose offers sweet dark fruits - cherries and blackberries, with hint of brown spice (cinnamon, nutmeg).
Delicious dark fruited intro, with the spice accents. Touch of leather and tobacco as well. While rich with fruit, there is elegance and grace to the wine.
Shows a darker fruit profile than I expected from Santa Cruz Mountain fruit.
    Engaging and delicious.

Quality cork; branded cork with vintage and vineyard.

  • Cranberry and cherry, with some spice and earth notes in the background as well. For me, I'd drink this now and over the next few years. Solid, but did not wow me.

  • Very good well balanced SC Mtn Pinot.Nothing spectacular but well made.

  • Decanted for 1 hour. The wine is slightly cloudy so I recommend standing it up for 24 hours before opening. Cherry, green tea, pine needles, oak spice and sandalwood. I believe this was 100% whole cluster fermented. Deeply fruited palate showing red cherry flavors and a velvety texture that is slightly heavy. Long finish.

Update on day 2. Left 1/2 in a 375 ml bottle stoppered with a vacu-vin closure and stored overnight in the fridge. The wine did not hold up well, oxidation notes, some funk and a faded palate.
