  Rich and somewhat jammy, but wow it has developed over the last few years. Soft tannins, cedar and cassis Yum.

  Colour: inky dark cherry
  Nose: intense blackcurrant, plum, black cherry. Cassis. Rich and dark. A touch of smokey chacuterie. Lots of American oak - coconut and vanilla, very dominant when first opened.
  Palate: very dark and dense and compressed. Cassis and plum, and black cherry. Lots of dark berry fruit. Dense and rich and slightly medicinal. Summer American oak, but not as much as on the nose. Drying, fine grained tannins. Summer berry like acidity. Rich and dark and very dense, a lot of flavour compressed like a lozenge. A very big wine -- 15,5% alcohol -- but would perhaps age well?
