  • Largely consistent notes to the previous bottle, though showing less oxidative. It's still got some of that vibe, but far less so, and if I'd have popped this one first, I'm not sure that I'd question its well being. Interesting wine to try; it's different, but I'm not sure I'd seek out more necessarily.

  • I'm not sure if this bottle is representative or slightly flawed, but I've got one more and will try to follow up. On the pop this came off oxidative in both aroma and flavor, and I actually quick popped the other bottle in the fridge, but after a short bit in glass and bottle in the fridge, that aspect mellowed out some so I left the other for now. I like aged white Rioja and less fruity white Burg examples, so this is working alright, I'm just not sure if it's the intended style.

Anyway, medium to deep golden color. Oxidative aromas like apple juice, saline, and iron, along with waxy yellow fruit and white flowers. Medium body, medium(+) acid and finish, and flavors of green and yellow apple, pear, pineapple, and a touch of herbs. Crystalline looking sediment in the last glass, FWTW. You know, it's interesting; let's see what the other bottle brings.
