Surprisingly good considering the very low price. It's now 6 years old, a few years past the CT window and past the most recent CT review. While I didn't find anything special about it, it is balanced and pleasant to drink. It looks slightly bricked but doesn't taste like it - it still has a fair amount of fruit and has not become at all vinegar-like nor sour.

This wine has had very consistent qualities over the consumption of half a case. Remains consistent with my January 2015 note. I especially enjoy the cinnamon elements.
This is a rare value in CA Pinot. At $11 I should have purchased another case.

Improves considerably with air. Pine needle, menthol, red cherries, plums, cloves, and vanilla on the nose. Sweet red cherries, spice, earth, tart cherries, and vanilla on the palate. Good acidity, decent structure, short-medium finish. Hmm, I didn't like this wine very much. The midpalate to finish is a bit disjointed, and the flavor profile (cherries, vanilla) doesn't appeal to me. Not scoring it, as it's not my style. (Would give it 83-84 pts normally.)

First tasted back when it was first released looking for a less expensive wedding wine. I'm glad to have saved a bottl. From a mediocre bottle it matured well with just a 2 year+ cellar time. Classic pinot nose of forest floor, floral with red berries. Slight brick in color as if aged. Plenty of ripe raspberry with a pleasant lingering cherry skin note.

Better on night two. Less oak.
