Drinking very well. Classic ribera, nice freshness, the sweet tempranillo fruit profile is nicely balanced with the start of secondary elements like forest floor and umami flavors. Easy to love.

Deep red, opaque. Moderately forward nose of dark cherry, blackberry, tobacco and wood. Palate is rich ad balanced; tannins are resolved. Moderately long finish. Enjoyable but not getting any better.

Now a lovely wine, tannins have mellowed and now just soft fruit and some complexity. But nearly 30 years to hit its stride? I won’t buy again.

Half way through a case of this, which I bought en primeur. First bottle I've really enjoyed.
Mouth puckering tannins, but I don't mind that, nice fruit and a classy wine. But if you don't like tannin....
Not sure I'd buy again.

Aged Rioja's and a Ribera (NYC): a bit light in body but what is still there is elegant.
