  Very light russet leading to a tawny and then, watery, fringe. The nose is familiar from those bottles long years ago. Not fully ripe, but not vegetal, either. The berry is modest, indeed. Yet, the palate is better. Nevertheless testing, with only borderline ripeness from the still crunchy and highly acidic northern small-diameter berry. A novelty, way back then, perhaps still so, but it's very much intact and offering some enjoyment. A good plus last bottle containing a wine which would probably taste almost identically after another decade.

  Light garnet with a broad apricot-coloured rim. American oak initially, then light red cherry, with hints of weed. Slightly confected mouth, at first, with reasonable fruit, but a very bitter tail. Lightish body. Good acidity. Still fresh. The alcohol gives it some roundness at mid-palate, but ripeness is an issue here. Seemed marginally underripe at one point, but this wine improved slightly in the glass and showed more volume of fruit at the end. This will hold for a few more years. Good.

  Light colour, strawberry red, wide orange rim; good depth, light pitch, cool climate, clean and typical, good complexity, strawberry and rosehip, spice; supple and rounded, reminiscent of Ahr and Alsace, light but elegant, crisp, good definition, herbs, earth and red berries; slightly drying finish, very good length.
