  • After a week with the flue (so no taste) it was time to open a real wine.

Camartina is a relatively unknown Tuscan wine made of Cabernet nad Sangiovese. I tasted some of the recent bottlings and was always pleased. Now was the time to see how this wine will perfrom with some bottle age.

    Well, It did wonderfully.

    dark aubergine/red colored.
the nose is not too expressive but delicious. I smell dried grass, barnyard, roses and some marmelade. quite nice indeed.

On the palate this goes on. nicely mouthfilling notes of dark ripe fruit backed up by very subtle acidity. smooth tannins. a joy to drink and no need to wait if you have any bottles of this.
