A very nice Merlot from Long Island. Has elements of an aged Bordeaux, albeit not with the same level of nuance and balance of a very high level one. Glad I bought this and waited a couple of years to drink!

A long-lived local Merlot - still needs another 1-2 years. Currently the tannins are softening, but still a little tight. Blackcurrant, cedar, cocoa, nutmeg. Lovely and complex. Nice with a mild red meat, but go easy on the spice/sauce.

Drank 2/7/08. Coffee/nutmeg nose. Rich chocolate and pepper taste with with pleasing tannin finish. Well balanced.
