Better than I remember. Difficult to articulate the flavors, but there's some vegetal, some spice, and some funk. Undeniably Sauv Blanc, and blind, I probably would have picked France after having ruled everything else out. This is one of the highest complements I have given to a California Sauv Blanc...

Somewhat of a cross between sauvignon blanc and chardonnay, thanks to the 15% “cigare” barrels created by Dider Dageneau and coopered by Tonnellerie Ateleir from tight-grain and lightly toasted oak. However, the oak is well integrated at this point. This also sports a tropical and stone fruit profile and completely lacks the grass/hay sauv blanc profile. Hence... atypical sauv blanc, but a darn good wine! Me - 90/91, Wife - 92

On the downward slope. Not close to being as explosive as before. Flavors there, but muted and dull compared to the first bottle. Drink up!

The flavor notes match last summers' just still less freshness; drink now. Won't list a formal score since it's headed downhill but I'd give it an 88.
