  • 55F since acquisition on release - browning ruby - mushrooms and maderized decaying plum/prune interface fruit on nice bed of soil and a fair dollop of balsamico - on the basis of this bottle’s performance I’d drink up as I plan to do with my few remaining bottles hoping they may be a trifle less oxidized retaining a bit more fresh fruit to go with the nice dose of earth and balsamico.
Well well - what a few hours open in bottle will do - maderized decay funk blew off a bit as black raspberry emerged for a little while before
    reverting to decay motif.
Opened another bottle with same results.

  • Totally underrated estate. Just entering its window of deliciousness. Dried cherry, lifted dried floral notes, italian herbs, and balsamico.

  • Another delicious bottle of this wine. Showing notes of crushed violets, cinnamon, and charred herbs with juicy delicious black cherries.
The wine is ripe and deep, reflecting the vintage, but the weight is still so nice.

  • Chewy dark cherry. Rustic texture, but thoroughly enjoyable for that. A little browning at the rim. Medium plus acid. Medium tannin. Very sturdy, flavor profile shows modest development. Some underbrush tones.

Day 2 and a deeper cola color across the wine. Blood and iron aromas. Lots of chewy texture, but not as rustic.

Day 3 and takes a big turn it maturity. Tea, smoke, blood and iron. Still drinking fine, would want with tomatoes and mushrooms going forward.

  • Drink now, pop & pour, balanced … good, but not outstanding 😉
