Dark purple in color, mild aromas of crushed blackberry and wet cedar forest. Flavors of blackberry, blueberry, and plum, with a subtle dark chocolate, slightly chalky, finish. The flavors are good, and full, but it lacks the body to tie it together, so it falls a little flat. All in all a good wine that's quite pleasant to drink. Drink within next couple years.

Still holding up. Double decanted. Loads of baking spice at first. After some air, sweet black cherries, vanilla, spice and loads of dark chocolate. On the palate, full bodied, with more dark chocolate and excellent acidity. Gripping finish, showing a touch of pepper/heat.
Day 2: Left on the counter, unrefrigerated. This is a little soupy today. Shows a bit more watermelon on the nose, and more heat on the finish. Still very dark...tannins largely gone.

Pop and pour. Ready to go. Nice nose of cassis, blueberries, blackberries, smoke, cedar, herbs, earth, and a sweet streak of raspberry. Plum jam, cassis, earth, black cherries, blackberries, and a little vanilla on the palate. Decent acidity, fine tannins that come out in the finish, nice finish. Delicious. Overall, this was an impressive, full flavored merlot. It's young, but quite drinkable.

Love the color and texture of this wine. Great deep purple. Good nose and very smooth supple.
