Much more integrated than more recent bottles. Did not pair well with the food eaten, which was Thai (I know-not a good idea but I did not bring the wine). Nicely balanced. Noticeable oak though.

Popped and poured. Very modern but elegant. Black cherry, raspberry, cream, earth and a little smoke. Medium to full bodied, early maturity but can continue to develop.

Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of Birch, caramel, black cherries and black berries. Flavors of black boysenberries, raspberries and cherries. Medium to tangy acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink or hold.

First taste of any Morlet anywhere. Big boy pinot, holds up well versus others. Good flavors and balance. Probably at or near peak now, so nor reason to wait.

Cola, sweet fig, eucalyptus and spearmint. Pretty medium texture with a fair amount of RS. Enjoyed, but this seems unlikely to improve
