Pop and pour into a decanter. On the nose, raspberries leading the way, with a muted and yet high-toned note of cranberries? On the palate, raspberries, soy, and what initially seems like fresh ground pepper but quickly turns into a bit of a tannic assault on the midpalate and finish. If you have two bottles, open one now and hide the other one for five years - if you have just one, flip a coin.

Pop and pour. Deep and dark and somewhat monolithic but still very tasty. Not as interesting as some Sanguis, perhaps on the downward slope or needed more air in its adolescence.

Drank over two days. Soft tannins, mellow but intense dark fruit and meat flavors. Definitely ready to go, so if you've been holding bottles for three years based on the last tasting note by another member, go for it!

Had before Thanksgiving dinner and it had cocktail fruit appeal, but nicely balanced and easy drinking.

Day 2 on the wine helped a great deal; the fruit screams at you Day 1. Tastes much more balanced on the second day, raised my rating from 90 to 92.
