Mature notes have started to develop. Ripe peach on the nose, oak surprisingly noticeable. Very concentrated palate, a mix of white flowers, a strong mineral character and oak influences. Stunning wine.

Pale, bright straw. A very floral nose that comes across clean and not perfumed, alongside pear and crushed stone. Pear flavors and stony minerality on the palate, crisp acidity, with gobs of dry extract. The 2012 Mon Plaisir is incredibly concentratred but not particularly complex.

Nose full of sweet florals, light smoke, and a sort of light spearmint edge to it. Palate had peaches, honey, slate. For all the sweet notes I just put down, the wine is not at all overdone up front, but is most full mid palate. A very very fine finish that at the moment I described as “ethereal” - very nuanced. This is fabulous Meursault. It made me think of the old saying that Meursault was the poor man’s Batard - though not at modern burgundy prices, still less Roulot prices! But the wine is fantastic. Not as full bodied as a Batard but almost as complex. Wow.

Great Meursault. Bursting vibrant nose, flowers, sweets, complexity. Layered complex taste, citrus, stone fruit, minerals. Medium finish. Great wine, typical Roulot.
