There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry and mushroom. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. Bright on the front, opens to a dark chocolate cherry finish

much darker color expressed next to the '12 Gaps Crown. Bigger and richer next to the Gaps Crown, but still has relatively fine balance. better balance than the nose or color may have suggested to me. much more supple palate than the GC, but still carries great acid on the finish. dark ripe berry fruit palate.

Definitely not a shy Pinot, intense, fruit forward, and a nice spicy finish. Would be interesting to see how this develops over time. I think there is more earth and leather in here that would show itself as the fruit mellows. Might get a glimpse tomorrow on day 2.

PnP. Rich dark fruit, earth and a hint of spice. Very expressive fruit, a little ripe and almost stewed to me. Perhaps a little past its prime.

Big for a Walt Pinot. Fruit forward, some spice. Stood up well to rich food.
