  Had one bottle for Christmas dinner and another tonight: Ripe fruit (cherries); leather; medium richness. This may last a little longer but no reason to wait.

  First bottle I've had of this in several years. Quite nice; fresh fruit and a little leather on the nose. It's a simple wine but beautifully balanced with a nice finish. Probably best to drink over the next 5 years.

  Maybe my vote for best red in its price range anywhere. This wine always delivers. Deep fruit but also finesse and balance. Immediately delicious but adds nuance with air. Even more integrated two days later.

  Good on opening, much better after 3 hours in the decanter. Funky barnyard alcohol heavy nose, which seems incongruent with the taste, which of that of an earthy, young-mature Rhone ... earth, dirt, and bright fruit meld together in an exceptionally pleasant way. Better than I expected, particularly after a few hours of air. Excellent QPR
