Frank & Sue's for Dinner (PHX): Very light color. Very solid. Not sure there's any oak here, if so, very little new oak. Very crisp and clean. Strong citrus flavors and high acidity at the finish. Sharp edges.

Star bright yellow in the glass, aromatic nose of orange blossom and sweet citrus, palate is expressive with green apple, citrus zest, tart star fruit, zippy acidity, hint of vanilla leading to a long finish. Nice.

I notice others mention oak but I find it completely undetectable and well integrated. Pale gold. This is has more going on than most sub $15 whites. Energetic, balanced with fresh orange peel, lime, apple and minerality. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this again for the $14 I paid for it. 90% viura and 10% malvasia; fermented in new French, followed by three months of aging on its lees in stainless steel tanks. ALC 13%.89+

Vibrant fruits give way to notes of vanilla, toasted oak and a refreshing, spicy finish. A great alternative to Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio.

Real nice medium bodied Rioja Blanco, good citrus fruit, acidic snap, moderate oak.
