  • Gyllen sitrongul, gule melne epler, honning, sitron, nøtter, mineraler, noe gummi, marsipan. Mere lineær med luft. Vanskelig vin å ta blindt. Jeg har vært innom Rioja, men går mere mot Bordeaux. Esporao, private selection 2013. 100 % semililion.

  • I can't help but being a big fan of wines from Portugal. Once again, for only a few dollars, we get a super balanced, tasty wine with terroir and character. This one is not particularly layered and concentrated but still focused. tasty, and on point. The color is on the gold side of yellow. The nose has a leafy, sappy peach and tangerine. The mouth feel is a bit grainy, which leads to being close to full bodied. The fruit is "Old world" ripe but not overpowering peach and apple surprisingly not citric. A touch of minerality. Some talc and shale terroir flavor enhancements that help us discern this is from Portugal.

  • Fresh, refreshing, very very full bodied. Vanilla, cooked tree fruit...very good deal.

  • The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon colour and presence of dense legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium intensity aromas of banana, melon, honeysuckle, fresh apricots and hints of lemon peel. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a medium+ rich body. It has medium+ intensity flavours of melon, banana, fresh apricots and honeysuckle. The finish is medium.

It is a good quality wine with a nice balance between alcohol and acidity and a nice fruit concentration. However it could be more complex and the finish longer. Drink now, not suitable for ageing, the fruit will fade and the wine will become sour.
