Decanted for an hour before pouring. Well integrated tannins and acidity. A nose consisting of ripe figs, cherries, blueberries and black peppercorns. Layers of black pepper, figs, toast, cherries and cassis. Very nice mouthfeel with a long satisfying finish. This bottle may have been a little past its prime. Drink up remaining bottles in the cellar.

One of our favorite, if not our favorite, Cali Cabs. So vibrantly rich, lush, balanced and completely integrated flavors. This wine was spectacular with our slow cooked pot roast that had a reduced bottle of Cab Sav (less expensive) added in. Looking forward to our '12 & '13 of this estate wine in the coming years.

Blackberry, black cherry, and dark plum. Sweet mid-palate of blackberry liqueur, subtle leather, earth, and toasty oak. Smooth tannins, long finish, nice drinking window right now.
