Bright and deep strawberry red in the glass. Wide open nose of fresh cut melons, strawberries and raspberries. Fresh fruit rides a wave of searing acidity. Delicious summer-time rose.

Light cherry in color, this rose' wine showed vivid strawberry, pomegranate and rose petals on the nose. The mouth feel was surprisingly full with added spice notes but the mid palate was somewhat thin. The finish was medium with nice acidity framing the strong strawberry elements.
Purchased for $11.50US, this is a pleasant drinking rose' that definitely leans toward the masculine side with its stronger fruit characteristics and deeper color.
Imported by Europvin USA, Van Nuys, CA.

From my perspective, this is as good as rose gets. I am biased towards Spanish offerings as I am regularly disappointed with French roses. This one has a fresh strawberry profile that screams "Summer is Here!" The finish is firm and doesn't fail apart into a tart or acrid ending. A lot of roses do that and this one authoritatively avoids it which warrants my outstanding score. The acidity of this wine could pair with anything. Bravo to this simple summer guilty pleasure!

My first Rioja Rose. Dark coloring and just a hint of dryness. Very nice.

Rioja Old-School and Modern Classics from CVNE (Chain Bridge Cellars, McLean, VA): smells like the color red. Very dry on back palate but refreshing in the front of the mouth. Spunky and outspoken. 100% tempranillo.
